The second Flor y Canto poetry festival brings together an array of poets to share their words, dreams and struggles in the midst of a deepening rightwing fascist regime in the U.S. With deep roots, Flor y Canto flows out of a Chicano-Indio tradition. Flower & Song is a practice that connects the human and the natural world in spoken word. Flor y Canto has become an inter-Raza (multi-lingual/multi-racial/multi-national) space to envision a new relationship between communities of color, their visions, their lands and poetry. Join us for a dynamic gathering to celebrate our struggles for justice, where our poetry is accountable to the natural world and her peoples.
