Community Archival Resource Project (CARP)
CARP is a community archive located within Bandung Books that houses a permanent collection of books, academic journals, political magazines, radical newspapers, zines, flyers, pins, video, and hundreds of other archival materials primarily donated and started by Greg Morozumi, a lifelong activist and one of Eastside’s founders.
Our archive represents the past and current histories of Third World communities and social movements, especially here in the Bay Area from the 1960s–present. CARP is a living and active archival resource hub that can be accessed through our public programming such as lectures, readings, forums, exhibitions, film showings, public art projects and viewing appointments. We encourage you to visit and utilize CARP whether for personal or academic reasons. Please note that visits are by appointment only.
