Fandango Por La Vida: Son Jarocho vs. Megaprojects of Death

Enero Zapatista’s closing celebration will include an open Son Jarocho Fandango in defense of land and water—everyone is welcome! The event begins with a panel of scientists, educators, and artists discussing how art is an essential part of resistance movements against greenwashing, megaprojects, metal/mineral extractivism, and in particular lithium mining. It will also feature the premiere of Antifason’s first music video honoring land/water defense movements, followed by a community Fandango. Bring your instruments, voices, and comrades!
